I can hear you saying “probably not.” Huda Quhshi—I’d call her an entrepreneur—discovered what was missing and did something about it. She opened the first women-only hair salon in New York. Imagine a hair salon, situated on a busy Brooklyn street, that primarily aims at the empowerment of women. Le’Jemalik provides comfort and privacy at the same time, by allowing only women into the main salon. Opened last January, Le’Jemalik welcomes women of all faiths. This is what’s made the hair salon truly hijab friendly.
